On 21 September 2023, on the margins of the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Mr. Sirojiddin Muhriddin participated and addressed the Informal Meeting of Council of Ministers of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO).

 

 

 

In his statement, Minister Muhriddin noted that Tajikistan is interested in the effective activities of ECO in creating a reliable transport and transit system, simplifying business procedures, efficient use of natural resources, creating a unified energy system and providing favorable environment for attracting investments within the Organization.

 

 

 

 

The Minister also emphasized the need to continue further broad cooperation to comprehensively use the Organization’s capabilities to ensure sustainable development of member states and protect the economic system of the region from the negative impact of external factors.
