Deputy Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan met with the EU Special Representative for Central Asia

 

 

 

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Gayrat Fozilov met with the EU Special Representative for Central Asia Terhi Hakala.

 

 

 

The parties reviewed the current state and prospects for the development of interaction between Uzbekistan and the EU in the political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.

 

 

 

 

 

The sides also discussed the organizational aspects of upcoming events in the “Uzbekistan – EU” and “Central Asia – EU” formats.

 

 

 

 

They noted the need for an early signing of the Agreement on Enhanced Partnership and Cooperation between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the European Union.
